Criqui Criqui

I grew up near sheep and pierogies and Christmas Tree farms in the rural town of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Appalachian State University in the majestic mountain town of Boone, North Carolina, I moved to the PNW where I've been palling around and tutoring youth as an AmeriCorps Service Member in the Federal Way Public School District. I chose to attend IslandWood because I have so much to learn about and from the youth in my life, especially in regards to curiosity about the natural world. After my IslandWood experience, I hope to find some place where I get paid to play games with youth while teaching them about social justice. My hobbies include admiring cute trinkets, challenging gender stereotypes, and causing distress in my friends because of how high I've climbed up that tree.
